Cullen Bay Estate Landscaping Masterplan
Cullen Bay Estate is continuing to constantly invest in a series of major beautification projects which is set to further enhance the enviable relaxed, modern atmosphere and serene views enjoyed at Cullen Bay.
Since our many upgrades in 2008 including the new stainless steel railing along Cullen Beach and new rock entry statements to both the main commercial area and all the walk access points to Cullen Beach, we have completed two other major projects being the upgrades to the Marina Boulevard escarpment in partnership
with the Darwin City Council, the raising of our Cyclone protection wall and total remake of the Cullen Bay Beach.
The Marina Boulevard Escarpment now boasts a tropical garden almost 400m long that is lit in the evening with pencil lights shooting up the 30m escarpment, a very impressive effect on this unique rock feature. This project was jointly funded with the Darwin City Council and is now a feature of the estate. Another major feature
is the Cullen Beach upgrade, with Cullen Bay now boasting a beautiful fully grassed beach area that is without doubt the best sunset viewing area in Darwin. Hundreds of people gather of an evening during the dry to watch our beautiful Darwin sunsets before going to one of our many restaurants overlooking the ocean or the Marina for a truly nautically themed evening of tremendous skies, food, wine and of course memories. People looking for a taxi can enjoy our newly constructed, and unique, Sailing Schooner Taxi Stand that also houses information on how the Cullen Bay Precinct went from concept to reality as well as enjoying a photo with our famous bronze crocodile.
We now also have our Revitalisation Plan as attached below, that was complied after almost a year of consultation with all of the user groups and key stakholders associatted with Cullen Bay. This exciting document lays down the foundations for future projects for Cullen Bay, and encompass all of the potential areas that we can develop and improve to make Cullen Bay an even better place to live, play and enjoy.
