About Cullen Bay Marina
A relaxed, tropical, waterside lifestyle less than two kilometers from Darwin’s cosmopolitan CBD ensures Cullen Bay’s reputation as the most desired Top End destination for holiday-makers, sea farers and locals alike.
The main feature of this popular location is the magnificent Cullen Bay Marina, being home to over 250 vessels encompassed by some of the best Restaurants that Darwin has to offer, and fringed by Darwins premium residential suburb Cullen Bay. The Marina provides extensive modern facilities for local and visiting crafts including yacht maintenance services, an internal slipway, an external fueling station, waste pump-out facilities and 24hr staffing and security to ensure that this facility is the safest and best serviced Marina Complex in the Northern Territory.
Being in a typically tropical environment and subject to severe cyclones and weather extremes, Cullen Bay Marina (a man made facility) has been uniquely designed to protect its occupants against such natural elements thanks to its locked waterway and huge man made seawalls. It is of great comfort to all here that this is a registered Cyclone haven to both small and medium size vessells. One of the most unique features of this facility however is that Cullen Bay is accessible to vessels on all tides experienced in Darwin be it from zero to eight meters, with the waters inside the marina being maintained at a constant level of 5 to 5.7 meters thanks to the huge eight door lock that controls all vessels and water entering and exiting the Cullen Bay Precinct. It is the only Marina in Darwin that can appreciate such access as all other Marina's are in accessible on our spring low tides.
The 2,000 plus permanent residents of Cullen Bay Marina Precinct, enjoy an envied waterside lifestyle that is also enjoyed by the many visitors to the area that stay in the long and short term accomodaiton that is also available.
